even though i have never experienced this problem personally from the research that i have done relating to CEL codes i would recommend checking the wiring and connections to the AMM (sounds like you already replaced the unit itself) - these engines have very few things that will contribute to rough idle when cold and this is one of them - there are good diagnostic tips for this and for the O2 sensor in the FAQ

second check the thermostat in the intake housing, if this is stuck open and it is sucking warm air from around the exhaust manifold it might contribute to a lack of power
