Door Handle Replacement 700 1992

I have a problem like that with my 1992 745 with 492k klicks on it. The trigger depressed, but the door wouldn't open until after several tries. That's the driver's door, which would be the most worn. It seems to be how you press the trigger. I found that grabbing the handle from below worked best.
