Overdrive 700

if its not the relay check the FAQ for information on modifying the OD solenoid - had to do this recently for my 740, it was an easy job and it was much cheaper than buying a new one! check the top of the solenoid with a mirror to see if the boot covering the wiring has broken apart (does this with age) - this usually leads to shorting and causes the transmission to disengage OD - the modification simply involves grinding out the material between two ports that the solenoid used to regulate effectively bypassing the function of electric gate - hope you're successful with one or the other!
