odometer 900

'94 940T
run up to this may or may not be related based on what I have found in searches.
Speedo was dropping out erratically along with cruise control.
I traced that to an intermittent connection at the diff. speed sensor & fixed it.
Worked fine for a couple of days.
Now the odometer has stopped working along with the cruise control (it holds for a few minutes then drops out.
The tach also shows erratic readings once in a while.
Speedo is working fine.
Could there be a relationship or did I just luck into a dual fault?
Am I looking at pulling the dash & poking around capacitors?
