no sart have spark 700 1990

no start lots of spark. The car is a1990 740 gle with an 88 lh 2.2 swapped into it by afar better mechanic than myself. We've had this rig since 2003 and it still runs and drives and looks real well.I've recently done steering rack and pump, diag bushings, tie rod ends, and sway bar links. Driven 5oo plus miles per week loaded with carpenter tools, chicken feed, canoe on top, you know the type.NO SYMPTOMS of anykind {noisy pump, hesitation, hard starting, stumbling, none of that} when one morning it quit upon shifting into drive.Have swapped rs relays, fp relays, still no pump. Jumped pump it sounds great.Have cleaned checked tightened every ground i could find under kickplates engine body by headlights. Have a sensor near temp sending unit {gauge}with one wire that is loose-broken .Itis below the gauge sensor. What am i looking at there.I have read BB FAQ many hours and am admittedly over my head with my analog tester and limited electrical understanding. The fella that built this car has repaired rwd bricks for 20 plus years but hes 200 mi away.Have swapped ecu with good used one also.
