Leaking fuel rail 900 1997

I appreciate all of the kudos from the last post!

One of the reasons that I got this car for a good price was an intermittent gas smell which drove the lady nuts that owned the car. I found it by accident this morning when I started it with the hood up. The front of the fuel rail is spewing like a garden sprinkler. Apparently this is a cold start condition as it wasn't leaking when we picked the car up, or all day yesterday.

After removing the rail and injectors, I fount that the shop that was hired to look at the problem lied about injector o rings since those weren't replaced either.

The leak is through the side of a small end plug as has been reported on this site numerous times since 2005 by other 960 owners. Was there ever a recall for this condition. and is there a fix?

Regards,
