Center muffler seam rusting out . Any products or methods to repair? 900 1994

Otherwise the muffler system is still in good shape. I would also like to see it last through this coming winter before replacing from the cat back. I no longer have welding and brazing equipment, but could rivet a piece of sheet metal and use a sealing compound. Does anyone have any better solutions or products that would work?
