Kare,
If/when you replace the cam, get new lifters and use oil that has ZDDP in it.
Valvoline AllFleet Plus is good and Napa's generic is the same oil in Napa containers.
As soon as it starts run it up to 1500-2000 rpm and run it that fast for about 20 minutes.
This will give you a good cam breakin.
