Looking for a 940 - Question on Automatics 900

Everyone,

I am looking for a nice 940 wagon for my wife and wanted to ask everyone about automatics. I normally drive sticks and so this will be the first older car I will be buying with an automatic. My main question is, anything to watch out for on these 940 Autos? We have driven two and so far both have had great kickdowns when asking for extra power but somewhat rough or sudden shifts and surprisingly high RPM shift points, even when driven slowly without much gas. Is this normal on these cars or is this indicative of a problem with the tranny? Is it at all possible to adjust the shift points/behaviour on these autos?

On a related note, anything else that is notorious on these cars?

Thanks in advance!
Brian
