1986 744 Turbo Transmission Swap 700

Good day all,

I have a 1986 74 Turbo with an M46 manual transmission. As you may know from some of my earlier posts, I was having some shifting issues. I pulled the trans from the car, and replaced the linkage, which fixed some of the issues but not all. I have decided now that I am just going to do the Ford transmission swap as this seems like the path of least resistance. I am just looking for a little guidance with this. Has anyone done it? What transmission is the easiest to use? WIll my stock driveshaft work? Where did you get the adapter plate that you used? What kind of snags am I going to run into along the way? What sort of special tools / parts am I going to need to buy? Any info on this to make it go smoothly would be greatly appreciated.
