wiper motor replacement no good 200 1989

Hello to all and thanks for all the great replies, advice, knowledge, etc.

My current problem is the windshield wiper motor(front).
My original one was acting weird for quite a while. It seemed to have alot of resistance and made noise also. About a week ago it pretty much stopped completely and worked every now and then, but rarely.

I got a different one off the internet and recently installed it. Well, there was some serious disappointment when it didn't work.

SO, at this point I don't know if either this "replacement" motor is bad also or if there is an issue with the wiring going to the motor. I checked for continuity at the connector unit with the car on and the wiper switch in the on position and nothing happening. It might have been because I had a continuity tester for housing electrics with high voltages. But, I would think the motor would need some serious juice to move the wiper arms.

Either way, if anyone has an idea about my problem, I'm all ears.
