Ok, so I removed the side panel, took all of the fuses out, cleaned all of the holders with a wire brush. There was no corrosion that I could see, but I scraped them anyway. I looked behind and checked all of the connections. Just clean bare metal. No corrosion or signs of moisture, though I'm sure rain is getting in there if even just a little. Replaced all the fuses with brand new clean ones, and even gave them all a light scuff. Pinched the holders tight. Still the problem persists. The car starts and drives, but those accessories/functions are all out. It looks like there is a problem with the first 3 circuits and then maybe 12 because the cruise is out, but that could be it's own isolated issue perhaps.
Also, I forgot to mention that the SRS light is on. I tried testing for codes using the terminal w/ ground wire, and I can't get it to blink any codes. I know how to do this as I've done it before. But I ground for 2 seconds and release, and the SRS light just comes back on without blinking out any codes.
I had it parked in a wooded area for about 8 days so I sure hope a chipmunk didn't run up inside and feast on wiring or something. I don't have the money to have a mechanic spend 5 hours diagnosing something that's probably a 5 min. fix.
Does anyone have any other ideas here? At this point, seeing as the SRS light is on, I was planning on taking the steering column cover off and checking all the contacts and then doing the same under the seat and at the ground points in the foot well. I already did the latter this morning, but I guess I'll check again. Could all of this have anything to do with a weak alternator or battery? Any other thoughts? This really blows as I was supposed to be going on a trip this weekend.
