Carb. problem? 140-160 1972

If you did "adjusting the carb idle for highest RPM/vacuum", then you need to fix that first, because it will suck the throttle valves open.

Hold the throttle open & see how much wriggle the shafts have.

Remove distributor cap, then twist & release the rotor to see if it's it it returning properly.

Solder throttle valves shut or see if you can get a pair of non-emmison throttle blades.
