brake warning light and battery 900

My "BRAKE" warning light came on (not the parking brake light) after I jumped started my car and drove away. So I figured it was just a weird electrical thing. Then it came on again a few days later after I charged up the battery. Still electrical? I have had my eye on my battery for several months because it seems like it drains way too easily (leaving the radio on for 6 hours). Any ideas?

I am thinking of pulling the battery, charging it and then measuring the drain under a load (light bulb) to "prove" I have a semi-bad battery. Maybe there is a better way?
