Thread inserts and thermal expansion

I was just looking across this Napa store on my last day and my eyes landed on a thread insert. Not a helicoil, a full-on thin-wall thread insert like the "save-a-thread" kits have.

Our B23/0's have aluminum heads. The insert I put in my old B230's head seemed like steel. The kit made no mention of it, but I was just thinking about thermal expansion, heat transfer, and plug heat ranges.
Initially I was wondering if having an insert in the head would eventually damage it from unequal thermal expansion.

Cheers!
