My 4 door was bought with a fresh pair of KYB's on the rear. Much too harsh for me so were replaced by a pair of Monroes. Ah, that's better! Showed that the fronts were working well but I haven't a clue what they are, just a pair of non descript grey tubes. Bought the Monroes for the front at the same time as the rears but haven't seen the need to change them yet.
Bilsteins are good, expensive and very long lasting but again are valved more for sporty driving rather than comfort. Koni's are good and also expensive, but can be adjusted to suit your style of driving. That alone can make them worth the money in the long term as you can also use this adjustment to compensate for wear.
Amazons tend to be soft at the rear so if you regularly have passengers in the back or keep that super heavy toolbox in the trunk, a set of new, good quality, standard springs is a good idea. You can fit HD rears but they tend to make it too stiff for general driving. Down to taste there though. Old high mileage springs that might have been on there since new need putting out to pasture........
