Silicone Hose on Brake Booster? 900 1995

Is a silicone vacuum sufficiently rigid to substitute on the Brake Booster?
My thinking is "no" but I'm interested in alternate opinions.

I *do* have a new replacement OEM hose and valve on-hand, but I was wondering if a silicone hose would do the job as well.

After upgrading my C70 turbo vacuum hoses with IPD blue silicone, I picked up a silicone kit for my 940, but it came with a large-diameter hose that I can't find a use for. It was an aftermarket kit, so that's to be expected...
