Is 100 amp alternator too much?? 700 1986

My 86 745 S/W has a recently rebuilt 80 Amp alternator, but the gauge shows a low voltage reading when the A/C blower, radio, running lamps are on in daylight. The reading is even lower at night when the lights are on.
I have found a 93 940 Turbo with a 100 amp alternator at the Pick N Pull for cheap. Should I get it, have it rebuilt, and replace my 80 amp? I am afraid that it would be too much for the old 1986 wiring and relays, fuses, etc. Am I wrong?
Should I go for the 100 amp?
Thanks,
el Raidman
