25 amp fuses 120-130 1967

The last time I drove this car, the cigarette lighter died. It started pulling lots of electricity from somewhere. I replaced the lighter assembly with no problems and it works great.

TODAY, I started and drove to the dump without problems for 3-4 miles. The 3rd time I went to engage the OD, nothing happened!! I had to finish the run in 4th. That is when I noticed the 25 amp fuse burned up.

I hate wiring, so I am looking for direction. I don't know how to remove the ignition switch in the dash to see if there is something melted. That's where the lighter is plugged into.

I only have one 25 amp fuse left!

I don't know if this is related, but reverse gear suddenly became hard to engage. I could feel and hear the gears not wanting to mesh. At one point while stopped I couldn't get into any gear! The clutch feels good and engages about 1/2 way up.
