BLEEDING CLUTCH 444-544

There's a mechanical linkage under the car. The clutch pedal pushes a rod, that rotates a shaft, that has a rod on the opposite end that pushes the clutch fork. That rod has a threaded, cupped nut on it that engages the clutch fork, that's where you'd adjust it by screwing the nut along the rod. Longer - higher engagement point. Shorter - lower engagement point. Let me see if I can dig up one of those helpful www.gcp.se online microfiche pictures...

There you go. Clutch pedal (#2) pushes a non-adjustable rod (#20) which rotates the cross shaft (#22) which pushes an adjustable rod (#32) which pushes the clutch fork.

It's not terribly uncommon for that linkage to be a bit worn - it has lots of moving wear areas, all sitting out in the open exposed to stuff being thrown off the front tire.
