Help! AW71 Pan Gasket Driving Me Nuts

I'm having trouble getting a pan gasket on an AW-71 to stop leaking.

I cleaned both mating surfaces before installing a Fel-Pro gasket which was all rubber if I recall correctly. I torqued the pan bolts down to the factory spec. of 7 ft.-lbs. and it leaked almost immediately. I've re-torqued them a couple of times now, but am still getting some leaking. It seems like the bolts almost are backing themselves out after being torqued.

I affixed the gasket to the pan with some Hylomar gasket adheasive and have used this stuff before without any problems.

The factory gasket is a cork one and I'm wondering if I should get one of those and try it.

Anyone else ever have this much trouble with these things? I'm pulling out the rest of my thinning hair on this one.

Thanks!
