starter issues 200 1982

So as the starter sits on the motor, i have one wire from the battery, one wire from the alternator. As i am leaning on the drivers side fender, i can plainly see the two larger red wires from the alternator and the battery.
The lug closest to me(currently has one connector two wires (bl/br) is what number? The other spade is what number?
so as the car is a standard trans there is no safety switch circuit circuit to deal with.
What wires should go to the ballast resistor terminal?
I promise I'll make notes of this.
Thanks as always
Paul
