Pull the relay and look at the # of terminals. If your relay has four 1/4 inch and one 1/8 inch terminal it may be the relay.

If only four termainlsand your dash light stays steady and the OD cuts in and out, problem is in the wiring to the solenoid or the ground for the solenoid.

Test as follows. Igition ON, engineOFF, in 4th with dash light on.

Under auto, wiggle yellow wire from solenoid back. If solenoid clicks, you've found your problem

Ground wire for solenoid likes to break while leaving insulation intact right at termibnal crimp point.

Clean and tighten spade teminals on solenoid.
