I have a friend that rebuilds lots of rear ends for Cobras, Sunbeam Tigers and other such cars. He knows the Dana rear ends very well.

I have a 220 with the stock rear, which I believe is a 4.56:1 Dana 30.

I'd love to get a higher (numerically lower) rear. I plan to give him the info to see what he can find.

I guess that people have tried swapping to a higher rear end. What are the issues/challenges/pit falls?
