Can a 140 OD switch work in a 122? 120-130

It looks like a 140 OD switch will mount on a 122 or 1800 steering column? The mounting holes are spaced the same between the 122 and 140s. The only problem I see is if the column cover wouldn't allow access to the switch screws with both the turn signal and a 140 OD switches are used.
