BMW TV Ad Makes a Fool out of 240s

the mercedes 300D and their turbo diesel, along with 1996-2003 VW TDIs are also very easy to convert to run on veggie oil. my friend has a 2003 jetta TDI that's been running on vegetable oil since last fall. i plan on selling my bertone sometime next year in order to purchase a TDI to convert. what's better about the TDI than the 240 diesel? well for one, they aren't as slow as molasses. and another, they look better and have a lot more comfort options. and another, the 240 diesels engines (30 year old VW engines, i'm aware) are constructed rather poorly (huge oil pump line so you have to wait quite a while before opening the throttle lest you do not wish to own the car for very long) so frankly the TDI is easier to maintain.

and i love the smell of veggie cars-ie, the smell of free fuel
