Are all M40 transmissions the same? 120-130

I'm about to swap a an M41 with J type OD out of a 1967 wagon into a 1964 4 door which currently has an M40. The wagon began it's life with an M40.
Just wondering if, since the wagons have 4.56 rear end, the M40 it came with is geared any differently than an M40 for a sedan with a 4.10 rear end.
I've always assumed that all M40 trannys (except for those set up for racing or other exotic applications) are the same.
