Fuel Pressure Regulator, 745 Turbo Wagon 700

Just a quick note for opinions: The other day had idling issues (would not idle at all)... it seemed to clear up on it's own. While under the hood and car idling, disconnected the FPR vacuum line and the car seemed to smooth out a LITTLE bit (a small "miss" seemed to disappear) but otherwise there was NO effect on the car's running. When the vacuum line was replaced it seemed to start idling a LITTLE rougher, but very little change in idle at all. REPLACE FPR?? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
