Keep in mind that 1/4" skew front to rear (or 1/8" fore on one side, 1/8" rear on the other) at a motor mount equates to probably almost an inch side to side at the transmission tail shaft.

and even 1/2" at the transmission mount will mean an inch difference between each sides of the transmission and it's respective tunnel side, which certainly looks like a lot.

A little bit goes a long ways in tight spaces, and new-ish, or good looking mounts do not guarantee good motor or transmission mounts.

My distance estimates are surely exaggerated, but you get the idea..
