Crankcase breather modification 444-544

I'm building up a B20, and I'm cannibalizing my '63 B18 for this project when possible in order to save a few bucks. I'd like to use the aluminum intake manifold from the B18, but there is no crankcase gas vacuum port, so after reading a number of threads here on brickboard I've crafted a solution. I'd like to use my B20 oil filler cap and add a K&N breather filter to the top. Then I'd like to remove the stock B20 oil trap and use the "road tube", or "snorkel" as it is often called, from the B18. Will this work? Will this not work?
