Putting the heater control mounting clip back in 444-544 1958

58 444---I had removed the metal clip from the back of the heater control unit a while back. It is the piece that holds the unit in place. On one end it has an "S" bend and on the other, a "C". When I had asked about removing this, 58Duett had mentioned to note how it sat so I could get it back in. I did note it, but then forgot as time passed. So now I cannot see how this piece goes back in. There doesn't seem to be a place for the clamp/spring to attach to the unit. Can anyone recall the alignment of this clamp? I think the C part presses against the lower section of the dash(a inch wide tray that runs along the length of the dash). Where does the S shape go? Next time, I write it down.
