Can I convert an AW70 (non-lockup) to AW70L (lockup)? 700

I just checked into Autozone.com website for a buddy needing a rebuilt torque converter for a low-milage U-Pullit transmission. Autozone has the non-lockup and the lockup torque converter for the same price ($156 plus $5 core). I was thinking that this could be a way for me to convert my non-lockup AW71 to a lockup if all I need to do is replace the torque converter. Am I just dreaming or is it possible?
Again, Corey from Austin (fellow Brickboarder), please email me as I have lost your phone #.
Thanks for any suggestions.
