New Nissen radiator has no hole for fan sensor 900 1993

Hello all,
I ordered a new Nissen radiator from FCP for my 940 "Regina". It arrived today (speedy delivery as always).
I mentioned to the sales rep that it must have the hole in the top right (passenger side) side and the grommet for my fan sensor. He said this was the correct fit and sent it.
It did come with a little baggie with a plastic fitting and what appears to be a new rubber grommet. But on the tank side where this sensor goes is just a very small hex shaped plastic nub molded into the spot where the sensor goes. How am I supposed to insert the sensor ? I have the "push in/press fit" style that goes into the grommet. Break off the nub and drill out the plastic ? Seems like one would need a pretty big bit to make it the size of the grommet....
Suggestions ?
Thanks,
Schumi 1
