newish 242 radiator failing 200

Today my radiator of less than two years age apparently popped a rubber blank and proceeded to send antifreeze out of the hole. The hole is about half an inch in diameter and still contains a rubber grommet where the blank used to be.

Apparently there is a sending unit for some models that could be mounted in this blanked out hole.

This is the passenger's side of the radiator. It is plastic. Now I am told by my supplier that the company, apparently based in Quebec, will not supply parts to repair their radiators.

So I am faced with buying a new radiator or having my original all metal radiator checked and refurbished. Happily I did not get rid of it.

But I would like to know if anybody knows where I could purchase a plug for this hole before I go further.

Has anybody else had this problem?

Bob
