Sorry I didn't get to you sooner, bad timing I guess. I am only assuming the OEM gaskets are inferior due to the number of cars that seem to rust in the floor pans and my own hoary experience. I was hoping that one of the resident wizard gurus (you know who you are) would chime in and save us all a lot of anxiety. I almost never leave either of my cars out in any kind of weather except sunshine, will not take them out if rain looks immenent. It's a drag but the alternative is unspeakable.
