Hello,


My first suspect would be an air leak. You need to make sure that the intake manifold gasket is intact (It fails often) and the power brake booster is not leaking. Make sure all the vacuum hoses are intact and in good shape.

Wear a safety shield and spray liquid ether around the vacuum connections and manifold. IF the idle speed changes, then there is a leak.
