Bought a $700 1986 Volvo 240 200 1986

Hi,

Yeah, I bought it; or actually my Uncle did, on my recommendation. It’s grey and has no body damage. Brand new OEM tail lights and turn signals, but those headlamps are pretty sucky. E-Codes would be nice. Anyway, the interior is in great condition.

I was totally amazed how worthless the previous owner thought the car was. ‘‘OH This plastic broke! I’m going to get a new car...’’

Yeah, so the engine harness is deteriorated at the firewall, an hours job and a couple of bucks. Not a big deal, just going to splice in some nice flexible marine wire and clamp the harness up.

Just goes to show you can find deals if you look and act quickly. The car drives great. 160K.
