Good news.

I apologize for my story of seat-dropping, which though true in my case, is not the likely reason in your car. When I read Rhys' post, the youthful term "facepalm" came to mind. Rhys reminds me I have done this before.

With a serious leak at the intake manifold gasket, the vacuum created by a healthy #3 cylinder will pull air in the easy way, through the leak, and leave the fuel your injector spritzed rolling down the runner in the manifold.

Here's what I expect you to find, except worse:
