Connect a plug to the coil wire, and lay it on the shock tower or cam cover. At the coil terminal #1, disconnect any wires except the white wire that goes to the ignition control module. Get some helper to crank, while you verify with a test light the 10-12V appears at coil terminal 15 while cranking, and no spark occurs. Follow with a probe of terminal 1 while cranking - looking for a winking light. If you don't have a helper, construct a remote start switch you can connect between battery positive and the starter test terminal at the firewall above the cam cover. Crank only for a few revolutions at each test.

If you do get spark, we should start a new thread.

If still no spark and no winking test light at terminal 1, then a strong suspicion is cast on the distributor pickup coil, based on your just-off resistance reading and the process of elimination.
