240 rear supsension spring removal 200

Hello
I'm in the process of installing the IPD HD coilover springs and new shocks but I don't see how to remove the rear springs. Hydraulic jack is supporting the rear axle under the diff, I've removed rear shock and the spring lower bolt. I still dont have enough room to remove the spring (still under tension). I finally used the factory car jack under the support point to create a pivot point for the trailing arm and still had to wiggle for an hour to get it out and the new one back in. There must be a better way to get them out, I've read as many posts as I can but all I get is support the rear axle and the spring should fall out. nope...
Thanks for your help. any photos or video links you know of would be great.
Gord
