Mass airflow sensor 200

My car has not been starting in the morning. We called up a mechanic and he suggested disconnecting the mass airflow sensor connector. The car then ran in first gear and after a few minutes we put the connector back on and the car started. In order for the car to run we have to go through this process every time. I have cleaned the connector and I am pretty sure it is not just a bad connection and that the whole mass airflow sensor needs to be replaced. Does anyone know of a good junkyard or reasonably priced volvo shop in the Westchester NYC area where I can get this part?

Second problem. When I am out on the highway after about 5 minutes the car starts to make a loud noise that is not engine related (the noise continues when I put the clutch in and stops when I slow down). Does this sound like a wheel bearing problem?

Thank you,
SW
