Oil light on at start up and chug when put in drive/hard starting 200 1988

Hi guys :)

I have a small problem with my 1988 240GL. It was serviced a few months ago and had a new CPS and a crack in the exhaust manifold "fixed", but it has re-opened or a new one has formed. The guy also put some Shell Helix as the replacement oil, I don't know what viscosity it was. The previous oil was Penrite 10-60 and that is what will go back in it next oil change since that is what seems to work better. The issues I worry about are:

1.) Upon start up the oil light comes on for a few seconds then goes off, never lights up again until you restart the car after letting it sit. It never used to do this.

2.) The engine also is more difficult to start, needing more key turn and some chugging before it idles fine. Then when I put the car into drive it also chugs then surges once until the car is moving at a no load speed. It also never used to do this.

3.) The piston slap the car has had since I bought it seems to be getting worse quicker than it used to since 1.) and 2.) started happening.

Any suggestions on how to fix?... thank you everyone ;)
