Simple math ...(Ooops) 200 1980

You gave the formula for the area of a circle.

The circumference is just pi*Diameter, or 2*pi*Radius. Cam rotates at half the speed of the crank, so cam gear is 2X the diameter - and circumference - and has 2X teeth as the crank gear. Same for the intermediate shaft.

To the O.P.: A new belt is cheap insurance...how can you be sure the old one is undamaged after slipping off?

After completing the belt installation, including setting the tensioner, turn the crank exactly 2 revolutions, bringing its notch up to the TDC mark. Cam and intermediate sprockets should then also line up with their marks. (Ignore any painted lines on the belt.) Then you're sure you've got it right.
