Power Steering 120-130

Hi Kent,
Yes it can be done and I did it on my 1974 144. Some of my friends have done it on their 122's as well, but some minor mods had to be done on the inner fender lip to accomodate the larger steering box. As the 144 is wider, i only needed and adapter plate to mount the box. Also a custom made bracket to mount the pump.

You can either source a complete system out of a 164 or later 144 that came with power steering. The 240 uses rack and pinion, which is totally different from our cars.

Yes it can be done, and I did it for my 71 year old mother, who drives the 144 almost daily for the past 37 years. The steering was getting a little heavy for her.
