Thanks for the note a few weeks ago on the board. Tried to PM you through here but I don't think it went through. Hope you're enjoying Nelson! foothillsbrass (at) yahoo dot ca if you like. Foothills Brass is having a slow year but doing some good music in interesting places.

On topic: I use synthetic (usually Mobil 1, will check out Rotella T6 though) and extend my changes past what you do, based on my readings in bobistheoilguy.com and the knowledge base in the truck industry. I agree that oil is astoundingly better than when these cars were designed. My fleet are all between 350K and 460K, and my main 740T is the highest Ks and gets driven the hardest. It has shown no change in engine condition in the 11 years I've run it.
