Lost keyway on crankshaft

Hello,

The crankshaft pulley is different between the two engines. The crankshaft key is integral to the pulley; it cannot be removed. You can order a harmonic balancer (this is what the crankshaft pulley is called) from NAPA.

Unfortunately, the end of the crankshaft is often mangled during such an event. It would be sly to post a picture to get a second opinion here on the internet. If the crankshaft is damaged, it may have to be replaced before repair is possible.

I would have the car towed. Every dime you spend otherwise may be wasted if the car cannot be repaired in place. Again, towing the car is the most logical move, especially if it is parked illegally.
