Low-tox antifreeze? Dex-cool? Or plain ol' Extended Life?

Has anyone tried the low-tox antifreeze? Sounds like it's almost as dangerous as the propylene glycol because of the sodium nitrite in it, but it's less sweet, so maybe it would be less appealing to animals.

Anyway, I also remember much ado about Dex-cool (of the "use this and blow up your car" variety).

Does everyone just generally use Extended Life whatever brand?
