hello-
watercooled garrett turbo in the 780 is being prepared to be replaced (blowing oil past seals, planning to rebuild). i got a good deal on a TD0 326 garrett oil cooled turbo from a buddy. just got off the phone with the shop i planned on having do the job and he told me that the oil cooled turbo is not compatible-which i know not to be true-so i'm considering doing it myself because i don't know any other volvo places around northeast ct (any suggestions?)

anyway, will the oil supply and return pipes on my water cooled model fit the oil-cooled or will i need new ones? i'm prepared to replace the expansion tank hose and lower radiator hose as they are equipped to support a water cooled turbo. what else can i look forward to in this lovely job?
