I think my car is confused. 200 1989

Ok, I just had my check engine light pop on today and once I got home, I checked to see what codes it was throwing. Terminal 6 was clear, but once I put the probe in terminal 2, all I got was a steady flashing with no gap inbetween, past a second. I watched until flash 18. I picked up the blade fuse, and gave it a push, making sure it was in properly, and the engine revs dropped as soon as I did it, and it reset my codes, so terminal 2 is reading all clear again. Has anyone had this constant flashing as a code before?
