M47 transmission won't come off.. 200 1991

(1991 240)

I'm having issues getting the transmission off of the engine. I can slide it back about an inch and then the bell housing where the starter mounts hits the side of the trans tunnel.
I can't turn the transmission on it's shaft to make it clear because of the crank sensor mount protruding into the top of the bell housing..

Has anyone else run into this? Is it best to remove the sensor or try to drop the engine further? Right now i have left engine mount off and still need to drop at least another inch.

Thanks,
Jon.
